Plan for Your WooCommerce Features
WooCommerce plugins, custom product fields and WordPress themes do not transfer directly into Shopify. We review how your store works and agree which features to retain, replace or simplify before development begins.
That includes product add-ons, bundles, subscriptions, wholesale pricing, shipping rules and connections to accounting, stock or email marketing systems. Any Shopify apps, theme licences and ongoing costs are identified in the scope.
- Review your existing store, products, plugins and business requirements.
- Build and test your Shopify store while WooCommerce continues trading.
- Plan the final data update, domain change and post-launch checks with you.
Content, SEO & Redirects
Your product pages, categories, articles and other useful WordPress content are part of the migration review. We agree what to keep and how it should fit into the new Shopify store.
We map important old URLs to their new destinations and check redirects, page titles, descriptions and internal links before launch. Search traffic can fluctuate during a platform move, so we do not promise unchanged rankings.
Support After Your Shopify Launch
Once you are on Shopify, you may still want help with theme changes, promotions, apps, troubleshooting or further development. You can continue working directly with Damien, with the support scope agreed separately from the migration.
For businesses that need regular help, we can discuss a monthly support allowance. Shopify plans, paid apps and any domain or email services remain separate costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration cost?
The quote depends on your catalogue, the data to move, design requirements and the plugins or integrations your business relies on. Send your current store address and a short outline of what you need. We’ll review it and confirm the migration scope, pricing and any separate Shopify, app or theme costs.
How long does the migration take?
The schedule depends on the size and complexity of the store, the design work and any custom functionality. We confirm a realistic timeframe after reviewing your WooCommerce site, allowing time for your feedback, data checks and testing.
Can you move my products, customers and order history?
We review the data available from your store and agree which records and fields to transfer. Products and customers can use import tools, while historical orders may need a separate migration app. Imported records are checked against the agreed source data.
Can customers keep their existing passwords?
WooCommerce passwords do not carry across through a standard Shopify customer import. We plan the customer account transition around the Shopify account type you use, including password resets or activation for legacy accounts, or email-code sign-in for customer accounts.
Can I keep my WordPress theme and WooCommerce plugins?
Your WordPress theme and WooCommerce plugins do not run on Shopify. We can use your existing design as a reference, then configure or develop a Shopify theme and review suitable replacements for the plugin features you need.
What happens to custom product options and subscriptions?
We assess these separately before quoting. Product add-ons, bundles, recurring orders and memberships may need apps or development. Active subscriptions and saved payment methods depend on the current gateway and subscription provider; they are not treated as a routine product import.
Will I lose my search rankings?
We retain useful content and metadata, map changing URLs and check redirects before launch. We also review important product, category and article pages. Rankings can change while search engines process the move, so we cannot guarantee that traffic or positions will stay the same.
Will my store need to go offline?
Your WooCommerce store can stay available while the Shopify store is built. We agree how to handle new orders and stock changes, then coordinate the final data update and domain change to minimise disruption. The launch plan depends on your store and integrations.
Can you move product reviews and blog posts?
We review your current review plugin and WordPress content before agreeing what can be moved. Product reviews may need a compatible Shopify reviews app and its import process. Useful blog posts, images and page content can be included in the migration scope.
What happens to my hosting and business email?
We check your domain, DNS and email setup before changing the website connection. Shopify hosts the new storefront, but your domain registration and email services still need to be maintained. Keep your existing hosting until the old site is backed up and we have confirmed whether it also provides email or other services.
Can you support the Shopify store after launch?
Yes. We can agree ongoing support for theme improvements, promotions, apps and troubleshooting, including a monthly support allowance if you need regular help. This is separate from WordPress security and plugin maintenance.
Ready to Move to Shopify?
Share your current store address, the platform you’re moving from and the features or integrations you need to retain.
A brief outline is enough to start. Damien will review your enquiry and email you about the next step.
