Clear Scope. No Surprise Extra Work.

Send requests by email or support ticket. We agree priorities and track the time spent on changes, investigation and development. We use your available monthly and banked hours first, then confirm any additional cost before proceeding.

Response targets cover acknowledgement and assessment, rather than a guaranteed fix or completion time. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm Queensland time, excluding public holidays; these plans do not include 24/7 emergency cover.

Unused support and development hours roll over for up to 3 months, with the oldest hours used first. Carried-over time is capped at 3 hours for Website Care + Support and 9 hours for Ecommerce Support, plus the current month’s allowance. Banked work is scheduled with Damien; routine WordPress care does not accrue hours.

Monthly billing is in advance, with 30 days’ notice to cancel. Hosting, domains, email services, paid licences and platform subscriptions are separate.

WordPress Security & Plugin Maintenance

Keep routine technical care on the agenda with an ongoing WordPress maintenance plan. We’ll review your website, plugins and existing setup before agreeing the work to be covered.

The plan scope will set out update frequency, security checks and the backup and recovery arrangements. Any existing problems, unsupported software or work needed before the plan starts will be discussed first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a WordPress website need ongoing care?

WordPress and its plugins need updates over time. Some add improvements or fix bugs; others patch security weaknesses that attackers could use. Leaving the software out of date can increase the risk of your website being compromised or parts of it stopping working.

The care plan gives Damien responsibility for those updates, with extra protection, monitoring and backups. You can concentrate on your business while someone who knows your website looks after its software.

What does WordPress website care include?

The plan includes WordPress and plugin updates, security patches and checks after updates to help catch compatibility problems. An additional Cloudflare firewall helps filter harmful traffic before it reaches your website.

An uptime monitor checks whether your website is responding every 20 minutes. We also keep an extra set of offsite backups, separate from the hosting backups, and care-plan clients receive priority support from Damien.

Care starts at $38.50 per month including GST for a simple WordPress website. WooCommerce stores and sites with more complex plugins or functionality need additional maintenance, so we review your website and confirm the monthly price before starting. Hosting, content changes and development are separate services.

Does website care prevent hacking?

Security patches close known weaknesses, and the Cloudflare firewall adds another layer of protection against harmful traffic. These measures help reduce the risk of hacking; no website can be guaranteed immune to every attack.

Monitoring helps us spot availability problems, and offsite backups provide an extra recovery option if something goes wrong. The care plan combines these measures with regular software maintenance.

What does priority support mean?

Care-plan support requests receive priority in Damien’s support queue. Email support@abpages.com or open a support ticket so the issue can be tracked and assessed.

The plan’s response arrangements and scope are confirmed before starting. Priority support does not include unlimited content changes or development; any additional work is discussed and quoted separately.

Is hosting included in a care plan?

Hosting and website maintenance cover different things. We can discuss both together, but your proposal will show what is included and which costs are separate.

Can you support a website you did not build?

Send through your website address and the help you need. We’ll review the platform, existing setup and any known issues before confirming whether we can take it on and whether initial work is needed.

Does maintenance include unlimited website changes?

No. Routine WordPress care and development time are scoped separately. A support plan can include a monthly allowance for agreed changes; extra work is discussed before it is carried out.

What happens if an update causes a problem?

We manage the updates and check the website afterwards to help catch compatibility problems. The extra offsite backups provide a recovery option if something goes wrong. Your plan will set out the troubleshooting and recovery work included; issues involving unsupported plugins, existing faults or substantial development may need a separate quote.

How do I request support?

Email support@abpages.com or open a ticket through your client account. Include the page address, what you need changed or what is going wrong, and any relevant screenshots. Meetings can be arranged when needed.

Can I have support for Shopify or BigCommerce?

Yes. Ongoing ecommerce support can cover theme changes, promotions, content and integration work. It is scoped around your store’s needs rather than sold as WordPress plugin maintenance.

How much website work is included each month?

The Website Care + Support package includes one hour of changes per month, separate from routine technical care for a simple WordPress site. Ecommerce Support includes three hours of store support and development; WooCommerce technical care is quoted separately.

The allowance covers time spent on your requests, including investigation, implementation and testing. We agree priorities and provide a summary of the work and time used.

What happens to unused support hours?

Unused support and development hours can be carried forward for the next three months. Any hours still unused at the end of that period expire. We use the oldest banked hours first.

You can carry over up to three hours on Website Care + Support or nine hours on Ecommerce Support, in addition to your current month’s allowance. This gives you flexibility when you need fewer changes one month and more the next.

Banked work is scheduled with Damien according to the tasks and availability; it does not guarantee immediate completion. Rollover applies to the support and development allowance, not routine WordPress maintenance.

What if I need more than my monthly allowance?

We use your available monthly and banked hours first. If you need more time, we confirm the additional cost before proceeding. You can approve the extra work, defer it, or request a separate quote for a larger project.

New websites, migrations, substantial new features and redesigns are quoted separately. Hosting, domains, email services, paid themes, licences and subscriptions are additional costs.

How quickly will you respond to a support request?

The support-package response target is within one business day during Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm Queensland time, excluding public holidays. Send requests by email or support ticket so we have the details and can track the work.

A response means acknowledging and assessing the request. Fixes and changes are scheduled according to urgency, complexity, access and any third-party dependencies. These plans do not include guaranteed completion times or 24/7 emergency cover.

WordPress Website Care clients receive priority in the support queue, with response arrangements confirmed when their website is reviewed.

How are support packages billed and cancelled?

The monthly support packages are billed in advance, with 30 days’ notice to cancel. We confirm the package terms and scope before you sign up.

Cancelling support does not automatically cancel your hosting, domain or platform subscriptions. Those services have separate billing and renewal arrangements.

Can I buy support hours without a monthly plan?

Yes. Prepaid blocks of 3, 5 or 10 hours are available at $160 per hour including GST, compared with the standard $180 hourly rate. That saves $20 for each hour purchased.

Pay in advance for agreed website updates, troubleshooting or development. Send requests by email or support ticket; we agree the tasks and schedule the work with Damien. Investigation, implementation and testing count towards your hours, and you receive a summary of work completed and time remaining. Any additional work and cost are agreed before proceeding. Package terms are confirmed before payment.

Do prepaid support hours include ongoing WordPress maintenance?

Prepaid hours cover the work you request and agree with Damien. They do not automatically include regular WordPress updates, security monitoring or backups. Ongoing WordPress Website Care is a separate monthly service, and you can have a care plan alongside a prepaid block for occasional changes.

How long are prepaid hours valid, and can I get a refund?

Prepaid support hours are valid for 36 months from purchase. Unused hours expire after that period, and blocks do not renew automatically. They are not refundable for a change of mind.

This does not affect any refund or other remedy you are entitled to under Australian Consumer Law. We confirm the work and scheduling before you purchase a block.
