A small business website should make it clear what you do and give customers an easy way to contact you. The right budget depends on how much information you need to explain, and what the website needs to do.
Our one-page small business website package is $1,500 including GST, with content help, setup and your first year of hosting included. You can also spread the build cost over 6 monthly payments. Here’s what those options cover, when a larger website may be a better fit, and which ongoing costs to allow for.
What Does Our Small Business Website Cost?
Both payment options include the same custom one-page WordPress website. All prices below are in Australian dollars and include GST.
With either option, the package includes:
- A custom-designed one-page WordPress website
- Sections for your business, services and contact details
- Help turning your service list and short business bio into website copy
- Responsive layouts for desktop and mobile
- Clear navigation between page sections
- Search-friendly page structure
- First year of website hosting
You don’t need to arrive with polished website copy. A service list, a short business bio and your contact details give Damien a starting point. Send your logo and suitable photos too; your content is prepared for you to review before launch.
A straightforward website can be live in as little as seven business days once the content and first payment are received. Availability and prompt feedback affect timing, so we’ll agree your expected launch date before starting.
Is a One-Page Website Enough?
One page can suit a tradie, consultant, sole trader or service business that needs a clear introduction, a service overview, photos or reviews, and contact details. Visitors move between those sections using the page navigation.
For example, a painting business can show the work it does, photos of completed projects, customer feedback and a quote enquiry form. A professional practice can explain its services, introduce the person clients will deal with and provide ways to enquire.
When to Allow for a Larger Build
You may need a separate quote if you want an online shop, several detailed service or location pages, a booking system, a customer area or other custom features. Tell Damien what you need, including any existing systems, so the scope and costs can be confirmed.
If you’re replacing an existing website, share its address before choosing a smaller site. Its existing pages, useful content and search traffic need to be considered before anything is removed.
What About Google Rankings?
A one-page website provides a search-friendly foundation, but it does not come with a promise of particular Google rankings or enquiry numbers. Businesses targeting several services or locations may benefit from a larger site and separately scoped SEO work.
What Are the Ongoing Website Costs?
The build is one part of the budget. Ask which services are included and what renews later.
- Website hosting
- Your first year is included in the starter package. Hosting renews annually after that; we’ll confirm the renewal price before you proceed. Hosting keeps the site online. It is separate from software maintenance.
- Domain name
- If you need a domain, registration is $69.95 for 2 years. We’ll confirm the domain extension, availability and future renewal cost before registration. If you already own a domain, we can help connect it.
- Business email
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace setup is $90. Microsoft or Google subscription fees are additional and depend on the accounts you choose.
- Optional WordPress care
- Website care starts from $38.50 per month for a simple WordPress site. It covers software updates, security patches, extra protection, monitoring and backups. It is optional and separate from hosting and build payments. See the website care inclusions.
- Future changes and extras
- Additional pages, content changes, paid software and more complex features can add to your budget. We’ll discuss and agree any extra work before proceeding.
The ongoing services you choose and their costs are confirmed before you commit.

These examples show how a focused website can present a business and make contact straightforward. Each project has its own scope; the examples do not imply every feature is included in the starter price.

Groper Creek Caravan Park

What to Check When Comparing Website Quotes
A clear quote helps you compare the complete job. Check:
- How many pages or sections are included, and which features need a separate quote.
- Whether the price includes GST, content help, setup and hosting.
- The total cost of any payment plan, not just the monthly amount.
- Which domain, email, software and hosting charges renew later.
- Who will build the website and who you contact for help afterwards.
- How an existing website’s content and URLs will be handled.
At Above & Beyond, you work directly with Damien, who has been building websites professionally since 2000. We’ll confirm whether the starter package suits your business or whether a larger build is the better option.
